Job Description:
Kwag and Lim Association Inc is launching an acupuncture and massage center in Burnaby. We offer massage and acupuncture to
our clients. We are seeking one acupuncturist who can provide therapeutic massage which combines machine and manual therapy. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Meet with patients to obtain information about their complaints,
symptoms, medical history, diet, lifestyle, and psychological health
- Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for treatment
- Perform acupressure and related techniques, including moxibustion, cupping and electrical waves to manipulate or apply to various parts of the body, hands and feet
- Comply with quality, safety, and infection prevention protocols, as
well as laws and regulations
- Communicate changes or exceptions in schedules to both clients
and bodyworkers
- Orient staff to company policies and procedures
- Assist in the creation and/or delivery of evaluation for care
professionals
- Discuss treatment options and preventative measures
- Insert needles to the appropriate body part for treatment
- Monitor patient’s progress
- Maintain clean and neat work environment at all times, ensuring all
equipment in safe working order
- Perform therapeutic massage
Requirements and skills:
- Registration with the CTCMA BC (College of Traditional Chinese
Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturist of British Columbia)
- At least 2 years’ experience
Working hour: 10:00 – 18:00
