Vancouver - A Beautiful Location

Directions to College

One of Vancouver's many great assets is the beauty of its natural surroundings. The mountains of the Coastal Range rise straight out of the ocean, providing a stunning setting, as well as a mild rainforest climate.

Vancouver is one of the busiest port cities in North America. It has a population of about two million, among whom are over two hundred thousand Chinese. Turned resolutely toward the Pacific, this is perhaps the continent's most Asian city.

The Chinese are Vancouver's oldest and largest ethnic group. They first came to Vancouver in 1858 to join the Fraser Valley gold rush, and were later imported in large numbers to construct the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Today, Vancouver has the second largest Chinatown in North America, after San Francisco. The College is located very close to Chinatown, where over 30 large Chinese herb shops do a booming business, providing a most favourable environment for students of Chinese medicine.
