SEEKING PART-TIME HELPER FOR OUR ELDERLY FATHER (job would begin now and end Sept 7th)

We're looking to hire a part-time helper for our 84-year old father. He has serious rheumatoid arthritis and is losing his mobility which is why we need someone to make sure he gets regular physical activity, does his physiotherapy exercises and has access to healthy food. 

The pay range is $25-40/hour depending on your experience and skill level. We're flexible about the schedule and we're thinking he needs someone to come by his home (near UBC) about 3 times a week, for 2-3 hours each day. Dad has a minivan that you would use to drive him to places.

We're looking for someone who can help our dad with a range of tasks like:

- accompany him to his physiotherapy appointments and learning the stretches & exercises

- help him do his physio correctly at home 

- accompany him on short walks (to make sure he doesn't fall down)

- take dad on his errands such as picking up med's, buying groceries, etc

- cook a few healthy meals a week for him (he has gout and high blood pressure)

Dad is Chinese, but speaks English quite well. If you speak Shanghainese, Mandarin or Cantonese that would be a plus, but not a requirement. What is required is someone who is reliable, patient and encouraging as well as someone who will make sure dad is doing his exercises and following doctor's orders.

I'll be in Vancouver for the next 2 weeks only and would love to meet you face-to-face if you're interested. Of course, you'd meet my father who is a very kind and wonderful person, though stubborn and hard of hearing.

We are a busy massage clinic located in North Vancouver in Lynn Valley and have been open for four years.  There are five rooms and eight registered massage therapists.  We all get along extremely well and work to achieve a very calming, relaxed atmosphere.  We are looking for an acupuncturist with an established clientele that is either located on the north shore or is likely to follow you there.  There are definitely opportunities for cross referrals and marketing, so you don’t need to be completely full but you must have a substantial number of regular clients.

Currently there is one acupuncturist there just one day a week.   She has another clinic in Kits that she spends the rest of her time at.  You supply your own sheets and we do not have laundry or reception.  We have online booking which you may also use if you choose.  All tables are electric.

Rent is $64/full day and $48/half day (9:00-2:00 or 2:15-whenever you want to finish)  Days available are:  Monday (full), Tuesday morning,  Wednesday morning, Friday(full), Saturday and Sunday.

If you choose you may use our debit and credit card system and just pay the regular usage fees (.022 Visa, .025 m/c, .09 for debit)  Cheques are usually paid out twice per month.

There is lots of parking for clients and it is just five minutes from the Second Narrows  Bridge by car.
